Merry Christmas!

If you bemoan Christmas cards that are lame,
Where the changes are ages, but the rest stays the same,
Then this is the Christmas update for you,
Just wait 'til you hear everything we've been through.

On last Christmas Kedra was a bit overweight
But she lost her pounds at an incredible rate.
For most of it was in the form of a child;
Now Kedra's a mother - tender and mild.

Rebecca has been a kid extraordinaire.
Except for the fact that she doesn't have hair
She's a baby as nice as you please
The apple of our eyes, and the bees knees.

It's been a year without imitation,
Starting in July, with our apartment conflagration.
We lived in the place for only 10 days,
When it (and our Junk) went up in the blaze.

But quickly we learned of the love that surrounds us,
As gifts and donations and phone calls soon found us.
We learned that we didn't need all that Stuff,
But what's really important is Friendship and Love (just go with me on that rhyme)

In other news - for my vocational enjoyment
I've decided to move on from my current employment.
I've enjoyed all my time at Lingotek and the COB
I'll be leaving them both with a sigh and a sob.

Especially since plans are a little bit hazy
Should I go back to school, or is that just crazy?
We wish that we knew what lay in store
But that would make things a bit of a bore.
So, to find out about my next occupation
Make sure to tune in for next year's installation.

In sum, we three are a blessed, happy lot
Grateful for each other, and all that we've got.
May this Christmas find you as loved
By friends down below and by Father Above.
