Easter 2013

Easter was peaceful this year. We did an egg hunt with some friends, but it wasn't frantic. R and I did some crafts through the month to lead up to Easter day, but my favorite part was that she is old enough that we could talk about the real meaning of the eggs and the chicks. This year, I think she was getting that Easter is about Christ's resurrection. The pictures of Christ we set up were just as exciting as finding an Easter basket. That made it pretty meaningful for me too. It is a little overwhelming to have the responsibility to teach a child something of such importance, but it is also so rewarding. Jesus Christ is as present in my life as ever now as I get to teach my children about Him.
