This was a bit ago, as some of my recent posts will be, but we can't forget some of the highlights of our summer. I am really into "having experiences" so I jumped at the chance to go to such an unusual event where you can tour traditional naval vessels, but I had high hopes. It was cool, but not as cool as I had expected.
We did have a very fun time in Chicago that day though and we lucked out to stumble on Oak Street Beach as we were walking back to the city from Navy Pier. My jaw just dropped at there being a beach on the banks of the city. Sunbathers and skyscrapers in the same picture. Crazy and awesome!
